About 10 years ago, Cherri and Fritz Cape purchased the building at 304 6th Street in Downtown Racine. At that time, Cherri felt it would be an ideal place to someday realize a lifetime dream of opening a charming shop in Racine.

In the summer of 2006, it appeared this dream would become a reality. Cherri, along with her daughters, Charity Chiappetta and Heidi Peterson, agreed that Moxie Child would be the ideal name for the shop. Each item in the shop would be hand selected by Cherri, Charity, and Heidi (The Moxie Ladies) with the express purpose of offering clothes that would ultimately make children feel good about themselves. Thus the name Moxie Child felt right in every respect.

Moxie Child Children's Boutique offers hand selected girls and boys boutique fashions. We feature many well-known brand clothing such as Biscotti, Monster Republic, Wes & Willy, Eland Kids, Room Seven, Misha LuLu, Claesens and many more wonderful brands! Our Girls brands go up to size 12 for all clothing and Boys sizes range from newborn to size 10. Specialty dresses and other select fashions up to size 14 are also available. Guests will find unique one-of-a-kind gift ideas and baby accessories presented with exceptional personalized service.
